Liz Read was living the dream- married, three healthy kids, and a thriving jewelry business. But her husband was suffering, battling an opioid use disorder which she would discover only by happenstance. This happens more than not, that people are able to hide their SUD from the ones they love the most. In searching for solutions that would enable the trust to be rebuilt, Liz decided to create what she needed most. A recovery plan that was family-focused instead of putting it all on the one with the disorder. Over the past year, she has started ClearMind. Founder of ClearMIND (formally Lucid Living Solutions, LLC), a digital solution designed for families managing drug use disorder, who benefit from randomized drug monitoring and results sharing. ClearMIND is set to launch in 2021 and is the Cycle 4 Winner of the Alabama Launchpad Concept Competition.
