Cliff Walker NuVision Credit Union First Responder Nominee:
MUSE Live! with Michael Sandoval welcomes Cliff Walker to the show. We talk about his inspirational story and more. On September 9, 2020 NuVision Credit Union will be sponsoring a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross. Please visit https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=nuvisionhb to sign up.
At the age of 53, Cliff Walker shows no sign of slowing down. Walker has become a local hero for participating in fitness challenges to raise money for charities. He is passionate about giving back to first responders and their families and will do anything to help anyone in need. Walker recently ran a marathon in full fireman gear and oxygen tank to break the Guinness Book of World Records. He also runs in the gear to promote firefighter fitness, health, and wellness, noting that cardiac arrest is the leading cause of line-of-duty deaths among firefighters.
“I’m honored to be selected as a Nuvision Credit Union first responder story to share,” said Walker. “I like to do difficult things and push the limits in fitness and in work to show people no matter how bad it gets; you can push through it.”
In 2017, Walker ran in full gear one marathon a month to raise money for fellow firefighter’s son who was four years old and fighting stage four brain cancer.
Walker is a former Navy veteran and serves at the Seal Beach Federal fire department. He is planning on making an announcement soon about running the state of California to raise more money for charity.
