  • Human influence, in particular the burning of fossil fuels has caused global warming (global boiling)
  • This climate crisis is a health emergency, it’s effecting physical and mental health of patients globally
  • Extreme heat and air pollution increases cardiovascular disease deaths, especially from skin and heart disease but also from heart failure, stroke and cardiac arrest
  • It’s important to identify those patients at risk (elderly, young, underlying illness, outside workers, low social economic status) and discuss behavioural and hydration advice and review their medication
