Dr. Travis Rector is a professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Alaska Anchorage. His primary area of work is in star formation and astronomy education research. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physics from Trinity University in 1992, and his master’s (1995) and Ph.D. (1998) in Astrophysics from University Colorado. Travis and his wife and fellow UAA professor Paola Banchero have one daughter.
