He is a lecturer at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”, Head of the Department of Regional and Political Geography at the GGF. Dr. Stoychev is a doctor and associate professor of economic and social geography with research interests in regional development and localization analysis. Topics of his courses are Geography of the World Economy; Spatial planning and urban planning; Methods of regional analysis; Regional development policies and others. He is the head of the master's program "Regional Studies and Sustainable Regions".
