Keeper of the Haw and Executive Director of the Haw River Assembly Emily Sutton spoke with 97.9 The Hill’s Andrew Stuckey on Thursday, July 31. She discussed impacts of the July 6 flooding on the Haw River and on her home near the river. She talked about an upcoming free screening of a new PBS documentary about the impact of climate change and what some North Carolina communities are doing about it. “State of Change: Living With Water” will air at 6:30 Thursday, August 7 at the Varsity Theatre.
