Anaphylaxis is an acute, life-threatening allergic reaction with an estimated prevalence of approximately 2% in the United States. Prompt recognition of anaphylaxis is necessary for appropriate treatment. This episode will review pathophysiology, clinical presentation and management of anaphylaxis.
