The Danish composer, songwriter and producer Nils Lassen, known for his work over the past two decades and most notably as one half of the acclaimed dreampop duo BlackieBlueBird, will release the single "Close Those Ocean Eyes" on 22nd November.

This enchanting track marks the first glimpse into his upcoming solo album, following a 20-year career of internationally recognized music releases. "Close Those Ocean Eyes" is a hauntingly beautiful sea ballad, blending myth and mystery. With echoes of Homer’s Odyssey, a dash of Edgar Allan Poe’s dark romanticism, and a hint of Moby Dick, the song draws listeners into a captivating seafaring soundscape. Laden with atmospheric tension, the song invites listeners to drift into the unknown—simply close your "ocean eyes," trust the winds, and sail on, unsure of what lies ahead.

Nils Lassen is joined on this journey by Tomas Ortved on drums, along with Anders Wallin and Marianne van Toornburg, whose ethereal backing vocals lend the track its wistful, oceanic depth.
