This is Carter Conlon. 2 Peter chapter 3, verse 11 to 13, “Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.“

Knowing what God has said, what should our focus be? If our pleasures are only found in this world, no doubt, we’ll eventually be disappointed. As God once told Abraham, look up to what I promised to give you, and look away from only that which is around you. God has prepared something eternal for you, which cannot be seen by human ability nor achieved by human strength. If you will close your eyes today for just a minute and pray, you will get a glimpse of it.
