When a parent becomes older and unable to care for themselves, one solution is to ask them to live with you so that you can provide care for them. This can be challenging when you already have a family, and there’s no doubt that the situation can put a strain on any household. And yet, so many people choose this solution in order to prevent their parent from having to move into a residential care home; and to save both parties from paying care home fees.
