Our special guest, Lonnie Buchanan lead our discussion on Cloud, AI, Digital Modernization, and Health Equity.
Lonnie Buchanan is a consultant, thought leader, architect, and futurist in healthcare technology and business strategy. He sits on the HIMSS Social Determinants of Health Committee (SDOH), is a member of the Fast Company Executive Board and has been named one of the world’s 10 foremost Healthcare Leaders to Watch in 2022 by CXO Outlook Magazine. He is currently the CEO of Obvious Architecture and Vice President of The Light of the World Ministry.
Prior to this he worked as Chief Architect and Executive Security Director for Veracity Solutions. There he consulted and oversaw architecture, development, quality control, and security teams that deployed enterprise-wide systems and digital transformations across various industries including healthcare. Buchanan was also the Director Enterprise Architecture for Intermountain Healthcare where, among the many areas of oversight, he led the design and implementation of the remote telemedical. This initiative won Microsoft's 2015 Innovation in Healthcare award and xMatters 2015 Best Cloud Migration. Among his many other roles he has been a leader by establishing various Information Systems teams and departments for Intermountain Healthcare, SelectHealth, and Rocky Mountain Health Plans.
