أضاءت الحاجة فاتن على ورشةالعمل التي اقامتها بلدية كامبرلاند وناقشت فيها اخر الاحصاءات حول العنف العائلي في استراليا وكيفية مواجهة هذه المشكلة الاجتماعية التي تؤدي الى وفاة امراة كل اسبوع في استراليا .

Hajjah Faten El Dana OAM gladly participated in the Cumberland Domestic And Family Violence Action Plan Workshop which was hosted yesterday by Cumberland council . Some of the topics discussed at the workshop included the following :

1-Cumberland Domestic and Family Violence Service Mapping Research findings and Cumberland Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan

2- Enhancing capacity of community groups and services to respond and improve collaboration .

3- Programs to drive change in culture, behaviours and attitudes.

The workshop was also an opportunity to network with professionals from various Government and Non-Government organisations and exchange ideas about how to effectively engage members of the community to combat this social problem which has been to cause of death of one woman in Australia every week according to the latest statistics on domestic violence .
