THE FLAMESBrenda from Horrifying History reutrns to review one of her favourite films, Clue (1985), a joyful film, set in the 1950's. Sean loved the British-type humour and did not expect this from an American-style comedy. Brenda brings the knowledge and trivia. This is a film you'll want to watch again and again. A shame people don't think the same of this podcast.Other highlights include:-Sean can't believe they are going to remake the film. Brenda makes a compelling case for how it could be great. -Why does Brenda's husband hate British humour? -Sean and Brenda discuss the alternative endings!-Brenda and Sean discuss the fourth ending, which was played in Washington State only but has since disappeared.-Brenda is not happy with the "New Character" introduced to the board game.Quotes of the episode:"Ryan Reynolds... he's very over-powering, if he makes a film it's generally all about him, unless it's Blade Trinity... anyway we'll leave that one"."It sound horrible to explain it, but when you watch it you belly-laugh"."We've lost something"- Sean sums up modern film-making."I've seen long matches...but never that long!"."Should I tell them the basis of the film?", Brenda prompts Sean to maybe explain the plot of the film to the listeners. Don't worry Brenda picks up the mantle and sets out the plot brilliantly. "I've had enough of the Eighties, do the Seventies or the Sixties!"Random Film Recommendations:-Buried (2010) starring Ryan Reynolds.-The China Syndrome (1979), starring Jane Fonda and Michael Douglas.Three-point Plug your podcast: ADD LINK TO HORRIFYING HISTORYIs there a red herring in this section?
