King’s College London lecturer Alexander Clarkson told Ahval editor David Lepeska that Europe may deal firmly with Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean yet remain hands-off in Libya, that Ankara’s refugee policies have forced the EU to militarize its borders and that Turkey will need to negotiate drilling rights with Greece and Cyprus sooner or later.
