"I can hear the steady thud and detonation of these rounds as one individual attempts to breach the perimeter. The police have now begun to deploy large numbers of riot control munitions," CMG correspondent Liu Xiaoqian reports from the frontlines of the Los Angeles protests.
Over 200 protesters clashed with the National Guard troops in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday during the latest demonstrations against immigration raids that swept across the U.S. state of California over the weekend.
