Listen Later

In this episode of Cascais Meditation and Spiritual Musings, Tiger Singleton invites us to dig deep into the nature of the topic, “Everything is for you.”
You are invited to reflect on
What is life? How does it relate to, “Everything is for you”? What is the role of the ego? What can we do when we are hurt in a relationship? Should we just let go of the person or should we just let go of what we wanted and stay in the relationship? How can we approach the situation where a person wants to cut off a relationship after a disagreement?
Format: Meditation, Ramblings and Q and A
Meditation:
Tiger starts the episode with a meditation that recognizes the essence of breathing. Breath allows life to be life. It supports, nurtures and makes possible the present moment. When we recognize that the more we come in contact of the truth and realness of the moment, we begin to touch upon life itself. He lets us see that to be alive is the miracle.
As we begin to see we are given the gift already, there is love and joy beginning to emerge. For those who are open, they recognize the love they are looking for is already at the present.
Tiger also invites us to look within ourselves, to recognize the profound truth that what we are looking for and anxiously searching is an expression of love. The expression of wholeness, gratitude, and all qualities we craved for are all flavors of love. In our core, we desire for love to flow, be seen and felt. It is the genuine experience of being human.
What is life?
Tiger says that life is a discovery of what is true. It offers the opportunity to see deeply in ourselves that there is nothing to capture or feel something is missing. When we recognize this truth, love begins to flow. There is nothing to hold on but the profound appreciation of life.
This deep appreciation of wholeness is the purest form of love. It is a kind of love that is the depth of honoring where deep inside us is a willingness to bow and celebrate. The spiritual teaching is to connect to such a love, wake up to who we are, and to let us see that we are untouched by this world.
He adds that everything that happens is for truth to be seen. The human experience is an opportunity to wake up to see the truth. This realization will make our hearts smile and show us that everything makes sense. Then, our hearts become devoted to such discovery and we lose interest in the mind’s condition of becoming something and in attaining much in the world.
How does it relate to, “Everything is for you”?
Tiger explains that the human experience that touches us, gives us emotional experience and the world we experience are created thru what we see.
When we experience love, it is seen from the inside projected outward which we also go through when we feel we lost or miss something. We experience our projection of it, too.
He further explains that our life is intimate inside our being. Everything that exists in life, exists inside of us. We only imagine they are outside but the more we recognize that all is inside us, we begin to let go of what we hold on, blame, or expect outside.
Practically speaking, when we experience something, we may perceive it as a boon or blessing. Is it for or against us? Tiger says that what we experience is how we are interpreting it. If we believe it is against us, we build defenses. We create a line of separation so it can’t get us. However, when we believe it is for us, we are open, welcoming and thankful for it.
The truth is nothing is against us. We only create such belief. Tiger adds that everything serves as an awakening for us.
Everything that has bothered us allows us to see the truth that we can’t hold on to what we want. Such discovery comes from a painful or uncomfortable experience. It is for us to face the truth and when we get honest about that, we learn to let go of what is not, which is anything that disturbs our wellness, peace, joy and love.
When we al
