CN Legends: Craig McCracken

Listen Later

Every now then comes along an underdog. Someone who's eager and full of passion but doesn't quite have the connections or know-how just yet but finds the right place to be at the right time.

Enter Craig McCracken, a man whose love of comics and cartoons from the 1960s helped steer him to Hanna-Barbera studios where he would get his big break by introducing three little girls made of attitude to the world. From there he would go on to recreate WAC, develop shows for Disney and Netflix, and further cement his place in Animation history with one of the most prestigious awards an animator could earn: The Winsor McCay Award for lifetime achievement.

Today, BDubs combs through the life and legacy of legendary animator, Craig McCracken and how with the unrelenting help and support of his good friends and wife, he was able to bring a full body of work to the cartoon craving masses for the past three decades on TV and counting.
