Columbia Falls is hosting its Heritage Days, filled with fun activities from Thursday to Sunday. On Thursday, there's a concert and free entry to Pinewood Park Pool. Friday features the Wildcat Athletic Endowment auction and barbecue, supporting Columbia Falls Athletics. Saturday starts with a fireman's breakfast, followed by a 5K/10K run and pickleball at Columbus Park. The main parade at noon leads to arts, crafts, food vendors, and a new cornhole tournament at Marentat Park. Sunday kicks off with a golf tournament at Middle Lake Golf Course. Spring into Safety aims to promote community engagement and educate families about various safety measures and resources. Attendees can explore different booths and interact with first responders. Car seat safety checks, life jacket giveaways, and free bicycle helmets will be available. Spring into Safety is Saturday, May 20th, at the Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Trade Center building. Feed the Need will be held at the Jewel Basin Center in Bigfork on Thursday, Oct. 13. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Admission to the event will be “pay what you can,” and attendees are encouraged to donate at the door. $500+ worth of prime beef, anyone? Courtney Stone, Public Affairs Specialist, sat down with Mike Hammer to talk about the 2022 Ribeye Raffle. Every year, Flathead Electric buys six stock animals from the 4H/FFA at the fair. Most of the meat goes to the local food banks, but the prime cuts of beef are raffled as a fundraiser.
