Our co-producer Ken Norton shares his participation as an undergraduate at San Jose State in the Survival Faire that preceded the first Earth Day by two months, where students buried a car to draw attention to Rachel Carson's Silent Spring and Paul Ehrlich's Population Bomb and the automobile's contribution to environmental damage. He is followed by guests Amy and Rachel Cohen, high school students and hub coordinators of the youth-led Sunrise Movement. After 50 years the environmental concern has dropped from college age to high school age students.
