Coach Bob Wenzel joined Rick and John talking NCAA Tourney sponsored by 5-hour energy. Bob told us the Spartans can’t shoot and that was there down fall to Syracuse. Bob gave high praise to the Big Orange and Coach Boeheim. Bob talked about how Tom Izzo coached this season and how he managed his squad this year.
Bob called Kentucky the luckiest team in the tournament and thinks they have the easiest path to the Final Four. Bob told us Loyola and Nevada are his two favorite teams in the tournament and is excited that one of them will make it to the elite 8. Bob called Michigan a very interesting team and mentioned how John Beilein is very cool under pressure. Bob doesn’t think the Zags are as good and talented as they were last year but doesn’t mean they can’t cut down the nets and win it all. Coach Wenzel thinks it unrealistic for the Purdue engineers to create a brace for Haas and his broken elbow that would enable him to play. Bob told us that it was a shock when a 16 seed beat a 1 seed and admitted it was the biggest win in CBB.
