Jeff's storied playing days at Sonora High School, marked by numerous championships and record-breaking performances, laid the foundation for his coaching ethos. Despite a standout collegiate career split between San Diego State University and California Baptist University, Jeff made a pivotal decision to forgo a professional playing career overseas in favor of coaching—a choice driven by his deep-seated passion for mentoring young athletes.

His 12-year tenure coaching the Los Angeles Rockfish in the AAU circuit resulted in 75 players earning basketball scholarships, showcasing Jeff's commitment to nurturing talent and fostering growth beyond the court.
