Coach Bud talked about the historic win by the Hawks last night over the Kings. Bud talked about Dewayne Dedmon and described how he plays for the Hawks and what people can expect from him. Coach talked about the play of John Collins and praised him for his progress on the defensive end but cautioned that he still has a long way to go as a rookie.

Coach Bud explained why Collins plays the position he does and how he plans to help him evolve to play multiple positions on the team. Bud said he wasn’t invited to watch football with the team Sunday on their travel day. Coach said he was all alone in his room watching his Cowboys get beat by the Falcons. Coach Bud admitted that the new schedule in the NBA is helpful to the players in the recovery process not having to play the back to back games.
