Last semester, one of our journalist students – Josie Hess – pitched an idea about life in Victoria’s coal country. That’s in Gippsland, around 160 kilometres east of Melbourne. They wanted to know: what does life after coal look like in a nation still reliant on fossil fuels? And who’s fighting for it?
