No sooner does humanity fall into sin than we see the first murder. Cain kills his own brother. Where did this come from? In Genesis 4, we see that sin goes straight to the heart. It infects us at the deepest possible level. But God’s plan is to heal our sinful hearts in the deepest possible way.

Why do we do things we regret? Why do we sin? It all goes back to the first humans ever to live, and their failure to handle God’s word - just like us. By looking at the fall of humanity, we learn of the hope for humanity. And in so doing, we see how to be honest about ourselves, find forgiveness for our sin, and learn to live differently. The Bible makes some huge claims about marriage - that it should be between one man and one woman, and be a lifelong commitment. These ideas might seem out of date, but they’re both wise and good, as we see in Genesis 2. Join us as we see what’s so good about God’s design for marriage.

Psalm 3 shows us how David faced this situation with confidence in the God of the covenant. As we learn from him, we see the even greater covenant that God has made us in Christ.

Aussies love a rebel. We love the idea of people who throw off their restraints - and often we wish we were like them. But in Psalm 2, we meet rebels against God, and it’s not a pretty picture. We’ll see that rebels will face wrath - but at the same time, rebels can find refuge. Such is God’s justice and kindness!
