-  On Sunday, the New York Times published detail  into the US president's finances, citing detailed tax records that the newspaper says "portray a businessman who takes in hundreds of millions of dollars a year yet racks up chronic losses." In addition to the 11 years in which he paid no taxes during the 18 years examined by The Times, he paid only $750 in each of the two most recent years — 2016 and 2017.— Even while declaring losses, he has managed to enjoy a lavish lifestyle by taking tax deductions on what most people would consider personal expenses, including residences, aircraft and $70,000 in hairstyling for television.Ivanka Trump, while working as an employee of the Trump Organization, appears to have received “consulting fees” (She reportedly received $747,622 from a consulting company she co-owned that exactly matched consulting fees claimed as tax deductions by Trump Org for projects in Vancouver & Hawaii.) that also helped reduce the family’s tax bill. (And they complain about Hunter Biden)?— As president, Trump has received more money from foreign sources and U.S. interest groups than previously known. The records do not reveal any previously unreported connections to Russia.Trump has paid no federal income taxes for much of the past two decades.
