Brittany graduated with my Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of North Texas in 2008. After beginning her teaching career in 2005, she has been a school counselor for the last 16 years.  She's a Licensed Professional Counselor and Child-Centered Play Therapist.

She enjoys helping others feel safe and happy. She builds relationships, connecting with children, and empowering them to make their own good choices while meeting the challenges of growing up.

Code Counseling offers kids ages 3-9, one on one child-centered play therapy in the playroom while the counselor offers therapeutic powers of play to help the client resolve social/emotional difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development. The counselor will consult with you about the options available and assist in determining the best course of action during the initial parent intake meeting. Play can build trust and mastery, encourage creative thinking and problem solving, elevate self-esteem, and reduce anxieties. Issues that can be addressed in play therapy include anxiety, anger, social skills, behavioral issues, family conflicts, divorce, trauma, grief, and abuse.
