The Saskatchewan government has launched an independent review of hospital safety and security following growing concerns about violence and safety in healthcare facilities across the province. Leading the review is Clive Weighill, former Saskatoon Police Service chief and chief provincial coroner, who will consult with staff and communities to recommend improvements aimed at making hospitals safer for patients and frontline workers.
