GUEST Jackson Tshabalala - Global Engagement Manager for Leva Foundation, leading the Tangible Africa project - 081 594 1811
#Coding4Mandela, the world’s largest Mandela Day coding intervention, returns this July, uniting thousands of learners across Africa in a celebration of tech and education. Spearheaded by Tangible Africa—an NMU and Leva Foundation collaboration—the initiative teaches coding without computers through fun, inclusive tournaments and Mandela-themed classroom lessons. Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s vision for future generations to embrace digital skills, the event features coding competitions, dance videos, and engaging resources for learners from Grade R to 9. With prizes up to R50,000 and a chance to represent South Africa on the world stage, #Coding4Mandela empowers youth to code for a better future.
