Cody Campbell and I go back a LONG time. Over a decade now, in fact. For a long time, I was a regular at every Vanlade show and had a front row ticket to watch them bring magic to the stage all over Kansas City. He's since relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, but Iron Age and Rage of the Gods, both of which he drummed on, remain etched in my DNA. The latter is one of my favorite albums ever written. Needless to say, if you haven't listened to it, you need to find it and subject yourself to the power metal glory that was Vanlade. You won't regret it! Cody's drumming is packed with power, speed, and taste. And he's just the nicest fucking guy that's ever existed. All hail the booga-digga king!
