Cody tells us about his upbringing in a blue collar family in Western Michigan including his first fight as a kid after his bike was stolen and his first MMA fight which actually happened in a strip club.

Cody went on to wrestle at the collegiate level and after falling in love with MMA he decided to forego a future working in his family business to pursue a living being a professional MMA fighter. Cody eventually made it to the biggest MMA promotion in the world, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and went against top talent such as Aljamain Sterling, Song Yadong, and Merab Dvalishvili. Cody described everything he went through while competing, including going through brutal weight cuts and shredding every ligament in his knees among other injuries.
