Join Susan Downie your host as she continues to explore the book of Titus. The Apostle Paul's pastoral letter to a young church leader Titus.
In Chapter three she finds the challenge to herself regarding what "good" looks like and how "good" is measured and exercised within the Christian world and outside of it.
She compares the difference between standing firm and standing down when work life may not reflect the "good" the bible speaks of.
Susan invites us all to regard our behaviour as though we are between the Grace we receive at new birth, through the Holy Spirit, and the Glory that is promised to all believers and will experienced in eternal life.
Susan further reminds us that judgement is Gods and Gods alone, and we are only to watch out for the planks in our own eyes.
Using Tim Chesters book Titus For You published by The Good Book Company, she expands on Grace as the engine of the Good life. This section of Titus is given some headings in Tim Chesters Book. Namely: New Hope New Love, New identity.
Reminding us that God's ways are not our ways and that His thoughts are not our thoughts, we must be mindful to enquire of God when making any major decisions. We must weigh our behaviour against the list in Titus three. This states we are to be peaceable; considerate; gentle; and avoid slander.
Especially when sending an email she advises that we Do Not Press Send!
Using an example from her own current work life experience. She calls for patience understanding and godly responses as God has been merciful to each one of us.
Finally she asks us to consider some questions raised by Tim Chester in his reflection on Titus.
