Lori Slager Wenzel opened The Sparrows Coffee in 2007 and still runs it today, while also running The Sparrows Coffee wholesale roasting business. She cofounded The Grand Rapids Creative Youth Center in 2011, and is currently raising three small kids of her own with her husband, David. She spends free time writing, running with her dogs, practicing yoga, and reading as much fiction as possible.
