Imagine this: You’ve been in a rock and roll band for two years. Days before you are due to record the first record, you are told, without much of an explanation, that you are being replaced. The band goes on to be the biggest sensation in the world and you end up working as a civil servant.

I am speaking, of course, of Pete Best – the good looking drummer of The Beatles whose dismissal from the band is still being questioned today. I have his story on the 174th episode of Sunday Morning Coffee with Jeff.
