The Gospel, the foundation of the Christian life, which has the power to save and is a constant source of encouragement and hope for believers. Romans 3:23-24 say, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” We have all fallen short of the glory of God and deserve to be separated from Him, but, because of His love for us, He sends Jesus to receive the punishment that we deserve for our actions, which according to Romans 6:23 is death. The death of Jesus pays the price of or sins so that we can have a relationship with God. God the Son gives Himself up for us and gives us an opportunity to know Him through His grace, and He gives us this as a gift, all we have to do is accept it. We can not earn it, deserve it, or lose it.

When we have accepted this gift we are made new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things have passed away, behold new things have come.” We no longer are slaves to our sin, but Jesus has redeemed us and brought us out of the dark and into the light. He is our hope, not only in His death, but in his resurrection. Through His death and resurrection, we have hope in eternity, not in this life.

Also, no, your personal sin does not cause natural disasters… no matter what Cole says. Confused? Guess you’ll have to watch!
