Title(s): Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (Producer's Cut: Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers) [Wikipedia] [IMDb]
Director: Joe Chappelle
Producer: Paul Freeman
Writer: Daniel Farrands
Stars: Donald Pleasence, Paul Stephen Rudd, Marianne Hagan, Mitch Ryan
Release date: September 29, 1995
SHOWNOTES: It's that time again on Collateral Cinema; we are diving into yet another Halloween movie featuring everyone's favorite Haddonfield serial killer for the titular holiday. This year, it's the finale of the so-called "Cult of Thorn Trilogy"—Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers! The sixth installment of the franchise is the first filmed and set in the 90s, and boy does it show. This entry was panned by audiences and considered by many to be one of the worst Halloween sequels ever, but is it at least more entertaining than the borefest that was part 5 (which we covered last season)? Find out now, and stay tuned for the Post-Halloween Edition of Collateral Cinema: Director's Cut! where we'll be reviewing the new Toxic Avenger film!
Collateral Cinema is on Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Twitter, and is on Goodpods, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Podbean, Google Podcasts, YouTube, iHeart, and wherever else you get your podcasts! Also, check out Collateral Let's Play! on our YouTube channel.
