World Footprints is excited to take you on a journey through Colombia, South America.  Colombia is the featured country in their year’s Smithsonian Folklife Festival and World Footprints visited the country and met with some of the artisans and other participants who are traveling to Washington, DC.  Visitors will have an opportunity to experience Colombia in a personal way but we’ll share some stories and our Colombian experiences before the festival begins.  More than one hundred Columbian artists will sing, dance, prepare food, tell stories, celebrate the harvest, and demonstrate religious ceremonies, traditional medicine practices and agricultural sustainability at the Festival.
