Dunedin's Larnarch Castle was effectively stripped of its furniture about a hundred years ago. But one of its hand crafted bookcases is about to be returned - albeit smaller than when it left. Colonial furniture expert and restorer Dr William Cottrell came across the bookcase in a Christchurch second hand shop, its provenance long since forgotten. He bought it and is in the final stages of restoring it to its former glory, before returning it to its grand home on the Otago Peninsula.
