We set our thrusters at maximum and head into the Zeknova that is Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX!  After coming down from our Kira-Kira high, Isaac muses at Mash donating his leg and bemoans the lack of total Zeonic victory he was promised, while Brian is incensed at the continued pattern of bad parenting across the timelines and delivers a PSA on spray paint safety.  Plus, we discuss the Zeon civil war, Char's need for a haircut, Shuji's true identity, and a cameo from Australian Isaac!  

We dive into those random topics about Gundam that never quite made sense to us to the point where we had to make up our own headcanon to fill in the blank.  These are Gundam's headcanon head scratchers, or as Isaac calls them, Gunundrums!  From light-hearted subjects like General Revil's age and part time gig as a mall Santa, or elite h4x0r Kira Jesus Yamato forgetting Athrun's phone number; to serious lore tidbits like the lack of Minovsky bombs and large capital ships, we lay all our Gunundrums out on the table.  Plus, Brian unexpectedly earns a position with Blue Cosmos by inventing snow cone machine nukes!  What are some of your Gunundrums?

Stop us if you've heard this Gundam setting before: In the near future, humans have largely fled a ravaged Earth in favor of giant space colonies where they war amongst themselves using giant robots called mobile suits.  We've been there and done that several times over - in fact we are doing it right now in GQuuuuuux!  So let's think of something new: What are some fresh new settings that future Gundam series might explore instead?  We discuss a wide range of ideas including the asteroid belt, black holes, Saturn, and Proxima Centauri, among others.  Plus, we eulogize Stargate Universe, Isaac demands justice for Pluto, we discuss all the steampunk genres (who knew solarpunk is a thing?), and Isaac unleashes his inner armchair astrophysicist on black holes and entropy.  Where would you set the next Gundam series?

In 2010, Sunrise graced the world with the best Gundam film ever made: Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie -A Wakening of the Trailblazer-.  After five years of covering Gundam, we finally review this masterpiece to give it the credit it so rightfully deserves.  So buckle up and join us aboard the Ptolemaios for the last time as Allelujah fights Waymo; zombie Ribbons takes a WWE chair shot; Setsuna grabs the Metal Cap and joins the Borg; and the T-1000 gets renamed the Extraterrestrial Living Metal Shapshifters.  Someone should really check on the Azadistanis...

We take the podcast on the road and head to Irvine, California to scope out the Gundam Base Mobile Tour!  Join us as we take you on a tour of the Gundam Base Mobile’s merch trailer, the giant RX-78-2, and all the accompanying displays!  During our visit, Isaac plays I Spy a mono-eye but comes up empty; we meet Tyler – the best employee the Gundam Base could have hired; we find Suletta Mercury suspiciously holding hands on multiple occasions with her definitely platonic best friend Miorine; and much more!  Even the ROBOT GANDUM makes an appearance in this episode!
