This week’s episode features ourfriends Tom Franklin and Wags at Bluenotes, our THPN affiliate podcast for the St. Louis Blues. Tom has been on the show a few times already, and we’ve had some great talks, but this is our first time having the pleasure to chat with Wags.
He joined Tom and the Bluenotes podcast earlier in the season. It would be around this time whenwe could’ve been experiencing a playoff series between these top Central Division clubs. We fantasize about the idea, but delve into the reality. We get into some talk about the Blues and their cap situation going forward. What can they do about it, and what/who should they prioritize?
With the unexpected break giving players time to heal, most teams will becompletely healthy if/when the season resumes. We get into the factors of rest andrust, and how that could influence the type of hockey to be played. Theaddition of a healthy Vladimir Tarasenko poses an interesting topic for us onthe Blues’ contributors up front, and how Ryan O’Reilly has seemingly taken overthe team. As Avs fans would agree, it will be very interesting to seefully healthy squads whenthe time comes. Hopefully that is soon.
Until next week, we hope you enjoy this episode. This wraps up our Central Division #AcrosstheQuarantine series. We’d like to give abig thank youto Tom and Wags, and all of the other hosts who graciously joined uson Offside by a Mile over the past weeks.
