Welcome everyone, and speaking of the Montreal Canadiens (on our last episode we talked about how crazy it is that the Habs had a chance at the Stanley Cup this season), we had our THPN affiliate’s over at Habs Nightly join us for this episode.
In this special Across the Quarantine episode, and one of our favourites to date, we discuss the NHL’s playoff format at length, and a number of other topics from the year pertaining to the Habs and Avs.
We chat with Cory and Mason about Carey Price and what his influence will mean to the Habs in the upcoming series versus the Pittsburgh Penguins. On a similar level, we explore impacts from players like Shea Weber, Max Domi, and Alex Galchenyuk.
As the regular season has officially ended, the NHL awards are a big topic of
discussion. We talk Cale Makar, and his shot at the Calder Trophy versus Quinn Hughes, the case for Nathan MacKinnon for the league’s MVP and Hart Trophy, and explain why Joe Sakic should be the favourite for the NHL’s best general manager of the year.
