Some DIY hunting trips are all about improvisation, adjustments and what Jeff calls 'dialing in' or 'bracketing'. What do you do when you get to your DIY public land elk hunting location and realize you need to make a big adjustment right out of the gate? How much of an adjustment should you make? Here's how we dealt with it during our recent 2018 Colorado elk hunt after finding our prime hunting spot snowed under with the elk nowhere in sight.
