Today’s guest is Danny Goldman, professional clarinetist and world traveler. 

In this episode we cover Danny’s travels and entrepreneurial life as a professional clarinetist, his most recent performances in Paris and Dublin, and how he went about developing his unique playing style!

Danny picked up his first clarinet at the age of 11 and by 16 was praised as “flat-out, jaw-agape spectacular” (The Courier-Journal, USA) and called a “wunderkind” (Maestro Robert Franz). He began his formal training at The Juilliard School with Ricardo Morales. During his studies, he went on tour throughout South America, China, Japan, USA, and Israel.

He holds a Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School and a Master of the Arts from Rice University. He is signed as an artist with The Vienna Music Company and F. Arthur Uebel of Wiesbaden, Germany. Danny plays exclusively on F. Arthur Uebel Clarinets.

Our esteemed guest, Nicole Schumann-Sizaret, is a teacher and practitioner of the Feldenkrais method, which uses specific movements to open up thought processes and unleash creativity—while promoting wellness on many levels.

Nicole’s specialization is expressing our creative skills through conscious exploration of movement. She owns the studio Fluent in Porto, Portugal and holds workshops at art schools and cultural venues throughout Europe. Linguistically fluent in three languages and coming along with Portuguese as her fourth, Nicole works most often with professionals in the creative and design fields.

Dennis Flach joins us today with some stories and remembrances of his childhood and early adult years in the internationally blended, cultural melting pot that is New Orleans, Louisiana.
