Episode XVI | Colorism and the Rhodes to Success.

On this episode, we explore Rihanna and protesting the NFL, Cardi B giving back to New York, and local entrepreneurship in the city of Reading. We also follow-up with the 9-year old Black boy "groping" the white woman and him not forgiving her, but also delve in Essence's first Black woman photographer.

On the Stoop, we discuss colorism and how that affected us growing up, but also seeing what that means for Black men and Black women. We also explore how it shows up in hip hop and other popular culture.

We are then joined by Dr. Alixis Rhodes. We discuss her organization called No Black Girl Left Behind, her trip to Africa, and then her book. It is a great listen especially for Black women. Black Girl Magic at her finest.
