Welcome to the 3rd sermon in our series on the nature of the coming kingdom based on Colossians 1:13-23. (3 of 3)

We love to hear stories of good kings or rulers reigning with love and justice in their domains. The picture we get of king Jesus in Colossians is that of a loving ruler who, though king over all, has decided to lay down his life to redeem his kingdom from slavery to a domain of darkness. The loving and sacrificial character of king Jesus shows us what life in his kingdom should look like for those of us who follow him.
