Paul gives a warning to the Colossian church about how the work of Satan is to take your mind captive through distorted philosophy, empty words, and lifeless traditions that would lead you away from a strong foundation in Christ. Being aware of this tactic is a first step but a better step to fight against this is to be filled by Christ so that Satan has no room to fill us with his foolishness.
