Sermon

1. Knowing the sacrifices that gospel workers make helps us to cherish Jesus more (v. 1-2)

2. We pursue Christ alone because treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in him alone (v. 3-5)

-> Continue to live in Jesus Christ: rooted in him, growing in him, getting stronger in him (v. 6-7)

-> Remember Paul's prayer in 1:9-12: so we'll need God's divine help to succeed, not our own effort alone.

-> Abound in thanksgiving, because you have received eternal life through him.
