As we continue our journey in Colossians we come to a passage that is filled with hard sayings. How can someone live a life apart from things that are so engrained in us culturally and individually? How doe we "put these things to death?"

Colossians 3 begins with these words, "If then you have been raised with Christ." That is good news! Paul is saying 'since you've been raised with Christ, now live THIS way. Put these things to death and put on the new self that Christ purchased for you!'
