Written and narrated by Tudor Rickards, in homage to, and inspired by, an episode of the original peerless Columbo TV series.

The story opens as an aging Columbo is playing chess with his grandson Alix. He tells Alix that the opening Alex plays reminds him of a case in which he betters the world champion at the time. 
It’s called the fried liver attack.
Columbo begins to describe the case. The scene fades into the story line ….
