The Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services has been awarded $3.1 million for the first year of a 2-year grant by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the prevention and treatment of opioid abuse in Kansas. K-State Research and Extension is also focusing on the opioid crisis and making plans to work directly with communities to fight this growing epidemic.
