Together with its North Florida community partners, Comcast announced a significant expansion to its Internet Essentials program aimed at ensuring local veterans have access to affordable broadband service to utilize the resources of the internet in their daily lives. Comcast will now be expanding the program to more than 154,000 Veterans in Florida. In fact, Florida has the highest number of Internet Essentials-eligible veterans in the entire country. Comcast will make these announcements and unveil a new computer lab at The 5 Star Veterans Center in Jacksonville. The center is a transitional facility offering housing to low-income, displaced and homeless veterans in Northeast Florida.
